Job Description

The Eck Center provides free campus tours for the public every weekday, and private tours upon request. Tour guides will take visitors around campus (for a time period usually no longer exceeding two hours), while sharing a wealth of knowledge, facts and experiences. Campus tour guides serve as ambassadors for Notre Dame and provide tours to Alumni, family, and friends. Extensive university knowledge is not necessary. In addition to tours, guides will work the desk answering visitors questions and taking phone calls.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Reliability and ability to make a commitment to this role throughout the summer
  • Must possess a positive, outgoing and friendly attitude
  • A strong feeling of appreciation for the university
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to handle different personality types
  • The willingness and ability to represent Notre Dame in a positive light
  • Exhibits maturity and discretion in responses to questions and comments
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without Visa sponsorship
