Job summary

The General Mills Buffalo Plant offers a temporary 3-month Manufacturing Team Leader Associate (TLA) role during the summer, with a $24/hour rate and no benefits. This program lets you learn manufacturing and operations, exposure to Team Leader duties, and contribute continuous improvement ideas at the plant.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS/BA in Engineering, Operations and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or Management, with leadership experience and openness to 2nd or 3rd

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in school, work, or extracurricular activities.
• Open to work alternative shifts (2nd shift or 3rd shift) to support 24-7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Conducting system audits and improvement engineering (establishing operating parameters, troubleshooting, overseeing installations / start-ups of major new systems)
• Developing safety and sanitation programs
• Identifying and implementing cost-savings opportunities
• Leading capability studies (productivity, ingredient loss, system reliability, overall capability)
• Ensuring quality compliance (lab analysis)
• Shadowing Team Leaders and Operators to learn and perform daily activities/procedures
• Understanding the roles of support and administrative departments
