The summer laborers are utilized to cover the summer months to provide overtime relief for the permanent employees and cover for vacations. The hourly wage begins at $26.32/hr., but employees receive the rate of the job they are performing, which allows for earning a higher rate.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: unitizing product, assisting with setups, adjusting and operating equipment which cuts, folds, stacks, and prints sheets of corrugated to designated sizes. Once the machine is set up and operating correctly, the employee is responsible for safely monitoring the product to ensure quality and unitizing the bundles exiting the conveyor. Individuals with mobile equipment experience may be trained, certified, and utilized for providing product to the converting machines.

Candidates selected for these positions will need to provide:

  1. A copy of acceptance or transcripts from university, college, or vocational institute, listing credits, grades, and courses.
  2. Written verification of acceptance or enrollment for the upcoming semester.

Employment is between May 15 and September 15 or the duration of the job/school period, whichever is less. Candidates must commit to this period or until the company no longer needs their services.

Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a team to support manufacturing, aiming to increase productivity and reduce downtime and waste.
  • Assist with all plant floor jobs and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Acceptance to an accredited college or university for Fall 2024.
  • Commitment to safety and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to rotate shifts, work overtime, including weekends.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in packaging or manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to work closely with production personnel.
  • Problem-solving and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment handling multiple requests.
