Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA invites community college students to participate in a 10-week, full-time DOE Community College Internship (CCI) during Summer 2027. Most projects are on-site, with a remote option possible in some cases.

Interns assist Sandia researchers in experiments, data analysis, and developing computational models as part of energy and foundational science programs. Applicants must be full-time students with a minimum 3.0 GPA, capable of working up to 40 hours

Qualifications

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited related undergraduate program
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• U.S. citizens, legal permanent residents, asylees or refugees in the U.S.

• Setting up and running lab experiments
• Creating software programs to analyze data
• Developing computational models and algorithms
