Job summary

Enlighten offers a full-time, paid summer internship in software engineering with hybrid work in Columbia, MD. The role focuses on back-end and front-end development, UI improvements, and rapid iteration with a driven team.

Qualifications

Clearance required: U.S. Government Security Clearance (not required day one) and U.S. Citizenship.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with >60% of credits completed.
Knowledge of databases, SQL, and RESTful web services.
Experience with OOP, version control (Git) and modern software practices.
Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Code back-end services or front-end interfaces for a software engineering environment.
Support development of modern and responsive UI for the web.
Iterate rapidly with the development team to deliver features.
Integrate across technologies and applications and perform system testing.
Learn and apply AI agent workflows where applicable.
