Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Development Intern to support the USPS Central Repair Facility program in Topeka, KS. You will work under general supervision on application or web page design and contribute to upgrades of current system software within a team.

The role requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program and graduating after August 2027, with proficiency in C#/C++, VB.NET, JavaScript and related technologies. Local onsite work is expected in Topeka this summer.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering or related field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Must be local to Topeka, KS or willing to commute onsite daily.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Under general supervision performs general application or web page design, implementation and documentation.
• Assists current staff in designing upgrades to current system software.
• Evaluate current applications and future needs to determine future projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio or other Visual IDE environment.
• Experience with C# / C++, VB.NET and JavaScript.
• Experience with ASP.NET, MVC, Windows Forms.
• Knowledge of relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
