Peraton is seeking a Summer 2027 Software Development Intern to support the USPS Central Repair Facility program in Topeka, KS. You will work under general supervision on application or web page design and contribute to upgrades of current system software within a team.

The role requires enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program and graduating after August 2027, with proficiency in C#/C++, VB.NET, JavaScript and related technologies. Local onsite work is expected in Topeka this summer.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or graduate degree and graduating after August 2027.
• Majoring in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering or related field.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
• Must be local to Topeka, KS or willing to commute onsite daily.
• U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Postal Service security clearance.
• Clearance is required to start.
• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2027.
• Be majoring in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering discipline or related field.
• Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027
• Must be local to the Topeka, KS area and/or willing to commute onsite daily.

Desired Qualifications:

• Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher (unofficial academic transcripts must be provided at time of application by uploading the documents to your application or profile)
• 3.7 cumulative GPA or higher is strongly preferred.
• Good presentation and writing/communication skills.
• Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment.
• Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups.
• Experience in working in an autonomous work environment on complex projects.
• Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch.

Target Salary Range

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
