Job summary

Little League International invites two female student-athletes to join the softball internship program for Summer 2027. The internship is remote-eligible with on-site Greenville, NC attendance from July 25 to August 10, 2027. Housing and some meals are provided during the on-site period.

You will report to the Director of Softball Development and gain hands-on experience across event operations, media relations, marketing, and volunteer coordination while supporting community engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be an active undergraduate or graduate female student-athlete
• Must be an aspiring woman sports professional
• Strong knowledge and understanding of softball
• Must be able to attend in person in Greenville July 25 – August 10
• Ability to lead projects and work independently while also being a strong team player
• Prior event management experience
• Experience working with and motivating volunteers
• Customer service skills and a respectful demeanor
• Excellent organizational skills to meet deadlines
• Positive attitude and proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of Adobe is a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with event operations, hospitality, game day logistics, and volunteer coordination
• Support media relations, social media coverage, and press relations
• Assist with community engagement efforts and outreach events
• Attend virtual committee meetings and participate in planning sessions
• Engage with staff, fans, and clients to ensure a positive experience
• Support housing and meals logistics for on-site period
