Job summary

Mars, Incorporated invites students to join the Summer 2027 Snacking Research and Development Internship (Finance). The program provides exposure to regulatory affairs, product and packaging development, sensory, and science/technology work.

You will work with a dedicated mentor and participate in in-person experiences at Chicago-area sites, with potential travel to other Mars locations. The internship emphasizes growth, networking, and practical, data-driven problem solving.

Qualifications

• Curious, passionate, results-driven with the ability to build cross-functional relationships.
• Enthusiastic about iconic brands, research, innovation, and consumer products industry.
• Pursuing degrees in Food Science, Environmental Science, Biological Systems, Packaging or Chemical Engineering; interested in data analytics, consumer insights, sensory.
• Passionate about applying robust scientific thinking to solve problems and inform data-driven decisions.
• Eligible candidates will intern the summer before their final graduation date (May 2028 for seniors, May 2029 for juniors) and must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

• Compliance functions including scientific and regulatory affairs.
• Product, process, or packaging development.

• Work with a Functional Lead as on-site mentor.
