Summer Session Instructor

The Department of Labor and Employment Relations at Rutgers University seeks to hire part-time lecturers who can teach a range of courses (Intro to Labor Studies; Occupational Safety and Health; Labor Law; History of Labor and Work in the U.S. 1880-1945; Organizational Behavior) in our undergraduate and graduate programs. Courses may be taught online, in person in New Brunswick, or in off-campus partnerships with Brookdale, Mercer and Raritan Valley Community Colleges.

Position Status: Part-time

Location: Campus Rutgers University - New Brunswick, City Piscataway, State NJ

Salary and Benefits

A minimum of $2,777 per credit. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including candidates’ qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. We also take into consideration market benchmarks, when appropriate, and internal equity to ensure fair compensation relative to the university’s broader compensation structure.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience:

1. PhD, Law degree, or Master’s degree related to our program (for instance, Labor & Employment Relations, Sociology, History, Business).
2. Preference for those with evidence of teaching excellence at the undergraduate, graduate or adult education levels.

Immunization Requirements
