Join to apply for the Summer Seasonal Junior Lifeguards Erie Highlands HOA role at YMCA of Northern Colorado & Southern Wyoming.

All branches of the YMCA of Northern Colorado are seeking summer seasonal junior lifeguards. Our YMCAs offer memberships, fitness programs, youth sports, aquatics programs, social opportunities, and early childhood education for the Northern Front Range.

Salary range: $14.81/hour based on experience. We also offer a +10% differential for bilingual staff who test as fluent in Spanish and English.

Location: Erie Highlands, 185 Highlands Cir, Erie, CO 80516

Hours: Monday - Sunday, 11:45 am - 8:15 pm

Responsibilities:

1. Advocate for the safety and wellbeing of our members and guests, and keep our Y's pool a friendly, welcoming environment for all to play, learn, and build confidence in the water.
2. Ensure the safety of participants while they are in or near the pool or hot tub.
3. Perform general maintenance and cleanliness of the pool, water testing, and problem-solving.
4. Relate positively to a variety of people including staff, members, program participants, and children.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.
6. Minimum age of 15. Look for our Lifeguard posts if you are 16!
7. Hold current YMCA Lifeguard, Red Cross Lifeguard, or equivalent certification.
8. Have current First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, and Oxygen Administration certification.
9. Maintain certification-level of physical and mental readiness.
10. Demonstrate lifeguard skills according to YMCA standards.
