Job summary

Ryerson offers a Summer Internship Program that provides hands-on experience over a 10-12 week period. Interns will collaborate with multiple departments on real-world projects and engage with company leaders through Q&A sessions.

Participants will learn about all areas of the business, support quoting and order-entry processes, and contribute to improvements while delivering timely, accurate results. Applicants are pursuing a Bachelor's degree with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in bachelor’s degree program.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Spend time with different departments to learn all important aspects of the business.
• Work within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
• Assist with projects on opportunities for process improvements in varying areas and collaborate with department leads to propose solutions.
• Ensure tasks are completed with speed and accuracy.
• Learn quoting/order entry process and handle sales calls meeting customer demands while providing satisfactory service.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management and supervisors.
