Job summary

Villanova University is seeking Research Technicians to support an immersive online educational program blending geography, geology, and mathematics through a virtual paleontological expedition.

The role involves refining content, aligning with standards, and assisting with assessment tools to measure student engagement and learning gains. This is a non-exempt, part-time summer position requiring 10–12 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and teaching certifications are required.
• Minimum of one year of high school teaching in geography, geology, or mathematics.
• Familiarity with educational policies and standards.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with PIs and contribute to development of educational modules.
• Commitment to working during the summer months.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with PIs on developing specific modules for the online program.
• Refine and complete subject-specific educational content for the VFT modules.
• Leverage curricular expertise to adapt the VFT to existing high school curricula.
• Align learning objectives with state and national standards.

Education

Bachelor's degree and teaching certifications

Collaboration with Principal Investigators (PIs)
