Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories invites talented undergraduate students pursuing science, engineering, or mathematics to join the START Intern Institute for a summer research experience at our on-site facilities in Albuquerque, NM. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research projects, design and analyze experiments, and use computational tools for data analysis.

You will work full-time onsite for the summer, with pay determined during the hire process.

Qualifications

• GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum.
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major.
• Eligible for U.S. security clearance (citizenship required).
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week in summer.
• Must attend Florida A&M Fall 2026 internship Fair.
• Full-time student in spring term immediately preceding internship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research projects.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments.
• Use computational tools and software for data analysis and modeling.
• Contribute to development of innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to team members and stakeholders.
