Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM invites undergraduate students pursuing science, engineering, or mathematics to join our START Intern Institute. You will participate in advanced research projects, collaborate with mentors, and contribute to national security and scientific progress during a summer internship on site.

The program requires full-time summer work, a minimum 3.0 GPA, enrollment in the spring term, and eligibility for U.S. citizenship to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

• Currently attending and enrolled full time in the spring term immediately preceding the internship (or scheduled to graduate in the spring) in an accredited undergraduate program.
• Pursuing a science, engineering, or math major
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on research projects.
• Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of experiments.
• Utilize computational tools and software for data analysis and modeling.
• Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings to team members and stakeholders
