Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking motivated students in Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics for a paid summer internship in 2027. You will assist research economists with policy-oriented and academic research under supervision, including literature reviews and data analysis.

Interns will learn through seminars and RA-led study groups, with opportunities to present their work at the end of the program. Onsite presence is required and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

Candidates are undergraduate or graduate students in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or related disciplines.

Hourly rate is $23.50/hour.
Selected candidate is subject to special background check procedures.

Responsibilities

Literature reviews and coding to analyze time-series and panel data with RA mentorship.
Interns are invited to present a study at the end of their stay.
Intern pool supports economists on topics including macroeconomics, econometrics, labor economics, and regional economics.
