Job summary

Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) is offering a summer internship through its Purchasing Department – PATCO, in Lindenwold, NJ. The program targets college students, requiring full-time undergraduate enrollment and transcripts showing 24 credits completed by Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.

The internship is paid at $20.00 per hour and runs for the 10-week summer period with a 40-hour work week including a paid lunch hour.

Qualifications

• This internship accepts incoming college students with coursework in business or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to follow instructions.
• Attention to detail and reliable, able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Update purchase order logs and tracking spreadsheets.
• Follow up with vendors regarding order status and shipment updates.
• File purchasing documentation electronically and/or manually.
• Respond to internal customer inquiries regarding orders and deliveries.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Assist team members with administrative and operational tasks.
