Job summary

Delaware River Port Authority (DRPA) in Camden, NJ, seeks college students for a 2027 summer internship with a $20.00/hour rate. The program runs for 10 weeks, June 7 to August 13, 2027, full-time in-person at One Port Center.

Eligibility requires full-time undergraduate enrollment for Fall 2026/Spring 2027 with 24 credits, plus a Fall 2027 enrollment with 12 credits. Desirable candidates have MS Office skills, procurement basics, and solid communication.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment evaluation including drug and alcohol screening.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Official transcript showing full-time undergraduate enrollment for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 with at least 24 credits.
• Official documentation of full-time enrollment for Fall 2027 with at least 12 credits.
• Transcript submission deadline by June 15, 2027.
• Residence within DRPA’s Port District.
• Ability to work in-person, full-time, 40 hours/week for the 10-week period (June 7–Aug 13, 2027).
• Acknowledgment of Understanding form must be submitted upon acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Update purchase order logs and tracking spreadsheets.
• Follow up with vendors on order status and shipments.
• File purchasing documentation electronically or manually.
• Respond to internal inquiries regarding orders and deliveries.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions.
• Contribute to process improvements within the department.
• Assist team with administrative and operational tasks.
