Job summary

Energy Transfer LP is offering a 12-week paid internship in Public Affairs, based in our Newtown Square office. The intern will join a small team and support community relations, government and regulatory affairs, and public relations across the Northeast region.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, with opportunities to participate in events, tours, and multi-project initiatives while gaining exposure to regulatory and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills and proficiency in Excel.
• Experience in/knowledge of the energy industry is preferable, but not required.
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with occasionally tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Public Affairs team across Pennsylvania in community relations, government and regulatory affairs, and public relations.
• Coordinate community engagement, sponsorships, donations, or volunteer hours.
• Assist with facility tours for external stakeholders.
• Plan and assist public meetings for projects/permit applications and outreach.
• Draft social media and blog content highlighting company projects and initiatives.
• Help track outreach and initiatives.
