Job summary

Ironmark Building Co. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to begin in mid-late May 2027. You will assist the Project Managers in obtaining, evaluating, coordinating and distributing information and authorizations necessary to construct the projects on time, within budget and to the quality specified.

This is primarily an office position with potential site time. You will gain knowledge in estimating, buyouts, submittals, and change management, and will interact with owners/clients, consultants

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a 4-year Construction program.
• Understanding of construction practices and standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to read and write English, and perform math including algebra/geometry.

Responsibilities

• Assist with estimating, buyouts, submittals, and change management.
• Coordinate and distribute submittals and shop drawings to project completion.
• Support field management with scheduling of projects and subcontractors.
• Track RFIs and submittal documents.
• Attend project meetings and take minutes.
• Assist with punch list development and follow-up to ensure timely completion.
• Assist with take-offs and estimating from project start to finish.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection reports.
• Gather and monitor project information.
• Perform quantity take-offs.
