Job summary

PCL Industrial Services, Inc. invites an Accounting Student Summer Intern to join our Chandler, Arizona team. You’ll work on accounts payable/receivable, payroll and other financial transactions while learning our project costing and reporting processes.

The role offers exposure to budget forecasting, contract interpretation and risk assessment within a supportive, employee-owned culture designed to grow your career in construction finance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management.
• Familiar with basic accounting processes and month-end close.
• Some knowledge of government regulations and GAAP is expected.
• Understanding project costing, recoveries, insurance, and subcontract requirements is a plus.
• Aware of labor agreements and internal policies.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in line with policy.
• Review project adjustments, submissions, and reports for timely completion.
• Support monthly job cost reporting with project managers.
• Participate in forecast reviews and reconciliation activities.
• Ensure documentation such as insurance, bonding, SDI, and liens is up to date.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of project accounting processes.
• Interpret contracts and contractor documentation for accounting items.
• Flag potential compliance and financial risks to the team.
