Northwestern University’s Center for Talent Development (CTD) is seeking an Assistant Coordinator to support summer residential and commuter programs for academically talented youth in grades 6-12 on the Evanston campus. Responsibilities include logistics, curriculum development guidance, instructional leadership, outreach to schools and families, and staff recruitment and training.

• A bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• 3+ years work experience in an education setting or non-profit educational agency.
• Demonstrated experience working with children, parents, and teachers.
• Experience developing curriculum for middle, high school, or college-aged students (STEM fields preferred).
• Ability to respond to directions and feedback from supervisor and interact professionally with peers and staff.
• Ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and schedule with attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Hiring staff, including reviewing applications, interviewing, offering positions and onboarding for instructional and residential staff.
• Providing customer support to parents and instructional staff, maintaining positive relations with program stakeholders.
• Coordinating training of temporary program staff (instructors, teaching assistants, residential staff, etc.).
• Managing day-to-day operations of the programs (site setup, on-site facilitation, schedules, supplies, evaluations, issues).
• Working with the Summer Program Coordinator to procure resources (classrooms, supplies, equipment, etc.).
• Supporting and managing recordkeeping for the program (student and staff files, enrollment information, program documents).
• Compiling data to generate reports and analyses (enrollment lists, residential lists, staff lists).
• Attending meetings related to the program and Center to develop skills of self and staff.
• Managing purchases and monitoring the budget for assigned programs.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in education

Master's degree in education or related field
