Job summary

Job description

We're not your typical garden! At Garden, we cultivate personalized growth in children, teens and adults with autism and special needs. Our support staff are trained in Applied Behavioral Analysis to support non-typical behaviors and promote positive learning. Our programs offer a variety of opportunities for neurodiverse individuals to make friends and develop important skills while having fun! If you have a mindset for growth, Garden is for you too!

About the role

Cultivate growth in children, teens and adults with autism and special needs at Garden. Our community-based summer programming offers a variety of opportunities for individuals with neurodiversities to make friends and develop important skills all while having fun. We're looking for amazing humans with a passion and energy to join our team as we work to cultivate positive change in ourselves, those we serve, and our community.

We will provide you with comprehensive paid training and support as you create fun and nurturing summer experiences for individuals with neurodiversities using Applied Behavior Analysis. Whether you're looking to add experience or you're a seasoned professional, there's a place for you to grow at Garden.

Qualifications
  • Skill in the area of chosen support for the person served, i.e. if the person needs assistance with cooking the staff should know how to cook.
  • Preferred experience working with people with disabilities, children, or elderly persons.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A criminal background check must be completed and meet state regulations.
  • A copy of driver’s license and car insurance is required (only in special circumstance will a person not be required to have these documents).
  • Three positive references; at least two from previous employers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
