Job summary

GRIMMWAY PRODUCE GROUP in the Bakersfield area seeks a Production Internship to provide hands-on, real-world exposure to fresh produce operations. Open to undergraduate, post-graduate, and graduate students pursuing relevant fields, with 10–12 weeks of summer work from May to August.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed an undergrad, post-grad, or graduate program in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Agricultural Business, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Demonstrated interest in production operations, food manufacturing, process improvement, or agricultural production.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day production activities and department projects.
• Gain exposure to production functions from intake to product movement and processing.
• Collect, organize, and analyze production data to support efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Support CI audits by documenting observations and findings.
• Assist with QA sign-off documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Provide backup administrative support to the Production team.
• Observe and evaluate processes to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand workflow integration.
• Present project findings and recommendations at internship conclusion.
