Job summary

National Beef Packing Company, LLC is offering a summer Engineering Intern program at our Liberal, KS; Dodge City, KS; and Tama, IA facilities. This paid internship provides hands-on exposure to mechanical, electrical, and control systems within a modern beef processing operation, with emphasis on safety, quality, and process optimization.

The program runs 10–12 weeks, is on-site, and includes a housing allowance where required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in engineering/related field and two years completed.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in core classes.
• Demonstrated leadership and on-campus involvement.
• Proficient in analytical and critical thinking; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into mechanical, electrical, control, and utility systems in a meat processing facility.
• Support safety, quality, and process optimization efforts.
• Assist with designing/implementing new systems or equipment.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management and department heads.
