Job summary

National Beef is seeking engineering interns for a 10-12 week summer program in Kansas. You will gain hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, control, and utility systems in a modern beef processing facility, under safety and quality emphasis.

Enrolled engineering students will collaborate with maintenance and engineering staff, supporting project work and process optimization on-site. Housing allowance provided where required; on-site internship with a potential pathway to future

Qualifications

• Enrolled and completed at least two years in an accredited college degree program focusing on Engineering or related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in core curriculum classes.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and on-campus involvement.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain insight into mechanical, electrical, control, and utility systems in a modern food processing facility.
• Assist in monitoring and controlling plant processes.
• Support safety, quality, and process optimization initiatives.
• Assist design and implementation of new systems or equipment.
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering staff on site.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management summarizing insights and experiences.
