VanEck, a private global asset management firm, invites applications for a Summer Intern in Portfolio Administration based in Tampa, FL. The program features rotations across Security & Portfolio Analytics, Fund Services & Operations, Trade Settlement, Reporting & Analytics, and Accounting Oversight.

Interns gain exposure to senior management, learn about financial services, and complete hands-on projects while developing critical business skills over a 10-week period from June 7 to August 13.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year degree in business, finance, accounting, economics or related field.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to use PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through Portfolio Administration teams (several teams) with defined project deliverables.
• Build KPI reporting tool to highlight trends.
• Update, standardize, and publish desktop procedures to the shared drive.
• Develop tactical solutions across the department using AI tools (Claude).
• Perform annual data quality audits, including contact lists and data cleanups.
• Assist with month-end reporting, audit packages and semi-annual financial reporting.
• Review vendor log/matrix and record invoices.
• Deliver a final presentation to leadership with documented work.
