Job summary

The Lansing Board of Water & Light seeks a Photography Intern to support the Public Relations & Marketing team in Lansing, MI. The role offers hands-on photography, digital asset management, and archival work contributing to organizational communications and community outreach.

Responsibilities include shooting events, producing headshots, and expanding BWL's historical image library, under a mentor’s guidance. May 2027–Aug 2027, 23.00/hour.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited educational institution for summer 2027.
• Preferred focus in Fine Arts or Public Relations.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Photograph BWL events, programs, facilities, and staff as assigned.
• Create professional headshots for leadership and staff.
• Build and maintain BWL's stock photography library.
• Digitize historic photographs and apply metadata and keywords.
• Follow archival procedures and file-management standards.
