Texas Lutheran University - Part-Time Custodian Positions (Summer)

Texas Lutheran University is seeking reliable applicants for part-time Custodian positions during the summer terms (May 12th – August 15th). These positions primarily involve cleaning assigned buildings. We seek candidates who meet the following minimum requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or two years of custodial experience
• At least 4 months of custodial experience
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand or walk for 90% of an 8-hour shift; physical activities include lifting, reaching, stooping, and bending
• Good oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and employee relations skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Customer service-oriented attitude
• Possession or ability to obtain a valid Texas driver’s license
• Judgment to plan and organize work effectively
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members
• Appreciation for a church-related university environment

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: cleaning designated areas, scrubbing, buffing, stripping, neutralizing, and waxing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning rooms and bathrooms, and safely handling cleaning chemicals.
