Job summary

MidFirst Bank offers a Summer Internship program for qualified students to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced commercial banking environment. High-performing interns may be eligible for full-time positions in the Officer Development Program (ODP).

The internship provides comprehensive exposure to the banking industry through case studies, departmental rotations, executive briefings, and projects, along with mentoring and team challenges.

Qualifications

• Completed junior year of a BA/BS degree is required.
• Business major required.
• Accounting or finance coursework required.
• Demonstrated extracurricular achievement.
• Proven analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and excel in a deadline-driven environment.
• High level of initiative and accountability.
• Results-driven, team-oriented and client-focused.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Participate in banking internship with case studies, rotations and executive briefings.
• Engage in business and industry research, compliance monitoring and financial analysis.
• Prepare loan presentations for senior management.
• Receive one-on-one mentoring with recent graduates, program managers and HR career counselors.
• Collaborate on team challenges and participate in after-hours events.

The Summer Internship includes:

• A comprehensive overview of the banking industry via case studies, departmental rotations, executive briefings, strategy meetings and special projects.
• Business and industry research, compliance monitoring and financial analysis.
• Loan presentations to senior management.
• One-on-one mentoring with recent ODP graduates, program managers and HR career counselors.
• Team challenges and after hours social events.
