Job summary

CoVar is seeking a Python-focused ML internship in Durham, NC to build software and machine learning models that address DoW priorities. You will work hands-on with data, design algorithms, evaluate outcomes, and produce production-ready code under guidance from an advisor.

Applicants should be pursuing a B.S./MS/PhD in engineering, math, or CS and demonstrate strong Python, ML fundamentals, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and ML packages (NumPy, pandas).
• Familiarity with ML fundamentals and CV/NLP concepts.
• Pursuing a science/engineering degree; strong communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop software and ML algorithms to solve real-world customer problems.
• Work with data, develop algorithms, and evaluate results.
• Write production code for deployment on real-world systems.
• Present work to DoW customers or CoVar leadership when appropriate.
