Job summary

JECT is seeking a creative Summer Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing team in New York City. This hands-on role is perfect for someone eager to grow in marketing, event coordination, and community engagement within the beauty & wellness industry.

The intern will contribute to social media content creation, video editing, and graphic design, while gaining valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced environment. Compensation is $20/hr for an estimated 15 hours a week.

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and proactive Summer Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone looking to gain experience in marketing, event coordination, and launching a new location for a fast-growing brand in the beauty & wellness space. You’ll help us activate in the community, support local and in-store events, and track performance insights to fuel future campaigns.

Social Media

• Help with ideation, content calendar mapping, filming, and editing for JECT social media platform and JECT provider social media platforms across Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms
• Draft caption ideas, source trending audio, and surface UGC worth amplifying
• Engage with comments, DMs, and tagged content in the JECT voice.
• Help audit performance (followers, reach, top posts) and share insights on what's working.
• Stay ahead of the curve on social media trends, memes, and aesthetic shifts to keep JECT relevant.

Video Editing

• Edit Reels, TikToks, and YouTube Shorts from provider, treatment, and event footage.
• Add captions, music, and on-brand graphic overlays.
• Maintain an organized archive of B-roll, raw clips, and finished edits.

Graphic Design

• Help design Instagram posts, stories, paid media & email graphics, and event collateral in our brand templates.
• Adapt existing assets across new sizes, locations, and seasonal campaigns.
• Work in Figma, Canva, and the Adobe Suite — keeping our brand system consistent.

Qualifications

• Current college student or recent college graduate (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred)
• Strong interest in beauty, wellness, and experiential marketing
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
• Proficient in Google Suite; Canva or Adobe experience is a plus
• Flexible schedule and willingness to work some evenings or weekends for events
• Compensation: $20/hr
• Estimated Hours: 15 hours/week
