Allegion is seeking a Summer Intern - Manufacturing Process Engineer to join a high-mix door lock manufacturing facility in Colorado Springs, CO. This role offers early career experience applying engineering principles and problem-solving to real-world assembly processes.

You will contribute to productivity improvements, assist in developing mixed-model assembly processes, and help create process documentation while learning from experienced manufacturing engineers.

Qualifications

• Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering degree path.
• Strong mechanical design aptitude.
• Experience with PTC Creo or similar CAD software.
• Excellent time management and the ability to balance multiple tasks.
• Effective communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to improvement projects to achieve financial productivity goals.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of mixed-model assembly processes.
• Assist in the development of process documentation and its utilization by manufacturing operations.
• Design basic mechanical components/assemblies for work holding and fixturing.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process failures.
• Assist in capital equipment requisition and installation.
