Job description

Overview:

Assist in cleaning and maintaining camp facilities and grounds. Support programs by setting up and taking down areas, and provide services such as trash cleanup, bathroom cleaning, and paper product stocking. Participate in camp-wide events and daily devotionals.

General Duties:
  1. Attend and participate in evening programs and spiritual activities.
  2. Assist with evening cabin supervision and devotions as needed.
  3. Maintain cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
  4. Assist with camp cleanup at the end of each session and summer.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Crew Chief or Assistant Camp Administrator.
Specific Duties:
Safety and Supervision
  1. Enforce camp policies and procedures.
  2. Maintain safety for staff and campers at all times.
  3. Ensure compliance with ACA safety standards.
Weekly Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in maintaining camp operations as requested.
  2. Clean buildings and support scheduled programming setup.
  3. Prepare areas for use, including dusting, sweeping, scrubbing, disinfecting, restocking, and waste removal.
  4. Ensure buildings are locked when not in use.
  5. Perform painting, equipment moving, groundskeeping, and maintenance tasks.
  6. Maintain supplies and organize camp areas.
  7. Set up evening programs and assist with camper needs on opening day.
  8. Maintain laundry and grounds cleanliness.
  9. Attend staff meetings and evening programs.
  10. Conduct trail maintenance and assist with campfire preparations.
  11. Assist with camper nighttime procedures and devotions.
  12. Participate in daily prayer and Bible study with staff.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
  • Operate telephone and computer.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Understand written information and access information from a computer.
