Koch Fertilizer in Wever, IA is seeking a Maintenance Technician Intern for the Summer of 2027. This 12-week program from late-May to early August 2027 provides hands-on experience in an industrial maintenance environment with a 4-day, 10-hour shift work week.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of a relevant degree, certificate, or workforce training program.
Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
Willing and able to meet all physical requirements.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience working on projects that are representative of the work our full-time maintenance professionals perform.
Partner with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot equipment issues and improve reliability across the facility.
Support the inspection and maintenance of fixed equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, boilers, furnaces, and heaters.
Assist with the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of rotating equipment, including pumps and compressor systems.
Work alongside our maintenance team to support equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and plant performance through predictive and preventive maintenance activities.
