We have an exciting position open in Mukwonago, WI: Operator. This position provides assistance to the Manufacturing/Operational processes and Quality Systems. The operator manages material flow on the equipment, monitors operation, makes operating adjustments (as required), and verifies equipment operating conditions to ensure conformance to specifications. The operator is responsible for area housekeeping, following proper safety procedures, and recommending changes to enhance equipment performance and safety. This position must participate in and adhere to all applicable plant certifications, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2000 and SQF.

THIS IS HOW YOUR JOURNEY BEGINS
  1. Arrive 5 minutes before the start of your shift to communicate with the previous shift.
  2. Read the activity board for scheduled color changes, conversions, and set-ups.
  3. Create, label, and number boxes.
  4. Read the shop order for product requirements and verify that the box label matches the product.
  5. Answer bells, check for stuck parts, and use the Process Monitor on presses.
  6. Clean machines after completing production activities to maintain efficiency.
  7. Operate emergency stops on closing machines, grinders, auxiliary equipment, and understand lockout/tagout procedures.
  8. Operate and maintain all types of manufacturing equipment, possibly operating several machines at once to relieve for breaks/lunch.
  9. Examine and discard defective goods and packaging components, inspecting products for gross defects.
  10. Monitor machine operations to ensure finished products and components meet quality and quantity standards.
  11. Support and adhere to all system procedures and company policies.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  13. Communicate any gross defects or issues to the technical team and inform team members of problems.

  • Ability to distinguish colors, as evidenced by a maximum score of 80 on the Farnsworth-Munsell Color Test.
