Job summary

Six Flags New England is seeking lifeguards for the summer season. You will supervise guests at Hurricane Harbor, respond to aquatic incidents, and assist with guest inquiries. Training is provided through Ellis & Associates ILTP, and you must be able to meet physical requirements.

Must be 16+ and available for flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Event details and interviews will occur at the HR Office in Agawam, MA.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must complete Ellis & Associates Special Facilities lifeguard course.
• Able to swim 200 yards in 15 minutes, retrieve a 10-pound brick, tread water 2 minutes, and exit pool.
• Available to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to communicate in English clearly and read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant vigilance and supervise guests at Hurricane Harbor water park.
• Recognize and manage aquatic emergencies using Ellis & Associates ILTP.
• Assist guests with questions about rides, directions, and policies.
• Remain at a Test Ready skill level at all times.
• Follow all policies in Ellis & Associates ILTP program.
• Follow procedures for bio-hazardous waste disposal and related duties as needed.
• Attend weekly in-service training sessions.
• Assist in other areas of the Aquatics Department.
• Enforce Six Flags New England policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
