This is a fixed-term contract from 23rd June to 10th August (7 weeks) to support our summer programmes across our school estates.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we are recruiting additional Lifeguards to support our summer programmes.

The Role:

Join our dedicated team to support our summer swimming programmes at community high schools from June to August. We prioritize safety, fun, and customer service. We seek vigilant and dedicated Lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of members and visitors. Applicants should hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the pool sides or supervise from an elevated chair to ensure safety
• Prevent dangerous behaviour
• Respond promptly to emergencies and perform rescues
• Administer first aid when necessary
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning duties
• Set up and take down sports equipment such as lane ropes and diving blocks
• Conduct scheduled water tests like pH and chlorine levels
• Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints
• Process bookings and payments via cash and credit card
• Promote products and services to customers
• Support programme delivery through administrative tasks
• Attend regular training to maintain NPLQ certification
• Assist in other areas such as reception when needed
