This is a fixed-term contract from 23rd June to 10th August (7 weeks) to support our summer programmes across our school estates. Flexible hours, minimum 8 hours per week.

To continue delivering a safe and enjoyable experience, we are recruiting additional Lifeguards to support our summer programmes.

The Role:

Join our dedicated team to support our busy summer swimming programmes from June to August at our community high schools, where safety, fun, and customer service are priorities. We seek vigilant and dedicated Lifeguards to ensure the safety and well-being of our members and visitors. If you are passionate about helping others and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, this could be your ideal role! Applicants must hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol the pool sides or sit in an elevated chair to supervise swimming pools and users
• Stop dangerous behaviour
• Respond quickly in emergencies to effect rescues
• Perform first aid as required
• Undertake routine maintenance and cleaning duties
• Set up and take down sports equipment such as lane ropes and diving blocks
• Conduct scheduled water tests like pH and chlorine levels
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve complaints
• Process bookings and payments via cash and credit card
• Promote products and services to customers
• Support programme delivery through administrative tasks
• Attend regular training to maintain competence and NPLQ certification
• Cover other areas such as reception when needed
