Job summary

Gerald Group in Stamford, CT is offering a 10-week Summer Internship Program in its Legal Department. This opportunity provides hands-on exposure to international physical metals trading, contract drafting, and risk assessment within a global commodities business.

You will review trade agreements, coordinate with commercial, operations, credit and treasury teams, and learn negotiation strategies while supporting legal, compliance, and administrative matters.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABA-accredited law school pursuing a J.D.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze trade-related agreements (sales/purchase contracts, NDAs, etc.).
• Collaborate with commercial, operations, credit and treasury to understand transaction flows and identify legal risks.
• Assist in supporting trade and structured finance matters, including reviewing financing arrangements and security documents.
• Provide general support on ad hoc legal, compliance and administrative tasks.
