Job summary

The ACLU’s Immigrant Rights Project in the National Office seeks a Summer Legal Intern. Open to remote or hybrid work, based in New York, and must be a matriculated U.S. law student for the entire internship.

You'll draft memoranda, affidavits, and briefs; conduct legal and policy research; track legislation; and help develop litigation strategies with IRP attorneys. Full-time 35 hrs/wk for 10 weeks, with a summer stipend of $24/hour for eligible students.

Qualifications

• Law students must be matriculated and based in the U.S. for the internship.
• Drafting memoranda, affidavits, and briefs.
• Conducting legal and policy research.
• Researching prospects for new litigation and drafting materials for public education.
• Legislative bill tracking and analysis.
