Starr, a global commercial insurance leader, is seeking a Summer Law Student Intern in New York City. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the Office of the General Counsel, working on risk management, regulatory, and contract matters during a 9–10 week program this summer.

Responsibilities include legal research, drafting documents, and collaborating with teams across Compliance, Corporate Governance, and Insurance regulatory areas.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in an ABA accredited law school program.
• Demonstrated academic success at undergraduate level.
• Strong research, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Mansioni

• Conduct legal research and analyze case law.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, memos, board resolutions, etc.
• Prepare legal memoranda and other legal documents as needed.
• Collaborate on projects in the legal practice areas of Compliance, Corporate Governance, Insurance Regulatory and Contract law.
• Assist attorneys as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of work.
• Opportunity to present a final Capstone project capturing key takeaways and provide a point of accumulation of knowledge and skills learned throughout the summer.
