Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and Bar admission in at least one U.S. state.
• Minimum 8–10 years of legal experience in U.S. insurance regulatory and transactional law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and regulatory analysis abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level legal and regulatory counsel for U.S. P&C insurance operations, including admitted and surplus lines.
• Advise on compliance with state holding company laws, market conduct standards, form filings, and insurance regulations.
• Manage regulatory licensing to ensure timely, accurate filings across U.S. jurisdictions.
• Serve as primary contact with state departments and NAIC for examinations and investigations.
• Support corporate transactions affecting U.S. insurance entities, including forms B, C, D, F filings and restructurings.
• Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-related contracts and MGA/TPA/vendor agreements.
• Identify regulatory issues and present actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Advise on governance for U.S. insurance subsidiaries and assist in entity formation and licensing.
