Summer Learn to Row Coach (Mt Baker Rowing and Sailing)

Position Overview

Mt. Baker Rowing and Sailing Center is looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our team as a Summer Learn to Row Coach for our Adult LTR program. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with beginner rowers, teaching them the fundamentals of rowing in a fun and supportive environment.

Summer Learn to Row Coach Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coach beginner-level rowing classes for adults
• Teach proper rowing techniques, boat handling, and safety procedures
• Provide individualized feedback to help athletes improve their skills
• Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all athletes during practices and events
• Assist with equipment maintenance and facility upkeep as needed
  
  

Summer Learn To Row Coach Qualifications

• Prior rowing experience is preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with individuals of all skill levels and ages
• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
• Current First Aid/CPR certification is preferred (can be obtained upon hire)
• Boaters license required
  
  

Start Date: June 10

Schedule: Tues/Thurs 5:30AM-7:30AM, Saturdays 7:30-9:30AM, exception of Seafair week

Pay

• Starting pay: $21.84
• Full Pay Range: $21.84 - $24.52/hour (Over time, the employee in this role may earn up to $21.52/hr with additional years of service)
