Job summary

Dewberry in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Landscape Architecture Intern for Summer 2027 to support our landscape architecture team. You will work with a dynamic group of professionals on projects in various design phases and interact with multiple disciplines within the firm.

The internship offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the firm’s collaborative culture. Housing stipend may be provided to eligible candidates and an Equal Opportunity Employer policy applies.

Qualifications

• Working towards a bachelor’s/master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Lumion, Rhino and associated design software.
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and meticulous with details.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completion of landscape design projects.
• Complete tasks and follow instruction provided by supervisor
• Assist in drafting in collaboration with the team.
• Assist in preparing landscape architecture project plan sets.
• Make corrections to plans based on redlines provided.
• Participate and contribute to design discussions, idea generation, collaboration, and design work.
• Design and detailing in AutoCAD.
• Attend project and client meetings with design professionals.
• Interact with and be a representative of the company with clients and contractors.
• Assist with grant writing and resiliency projects.
