Job summary

Dewberry, a multidisciplinary design firm, invites applications for a Landscape Architect Design Intern in our Charlotte, NC office for Summer 2027. You will work with the landscape architecture team, supporting design development, drafting, and client interactions while gaining hands-on experience across project phases.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning, with interest in civil engineering aspects, strong communication, and proficiency with design

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Lumion, and Rhino.
• Interest in civil engineering phases including land development, utilities, and water resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completion of landscape design projects.
• Follow supervisor instructions and complete tasks.
• Assist in drafting in collaboration with the team.
• Prepare landscape architecture project plan sets.
• Make corrections to plans based on redlines.
• Participate in design discussions and collaboration sessions.

Dewberry, an award-winning multidisciplinary design firm, is accepting applications for Landscape Architect Design Intern for Summer 2027 to work in our Charlotte, NC office supporting our landscape architecture team. Our clients include architecture firms, selected private developers, municipal governments, Fortune 500 companies and non-profit agencies. The Landscape Architect Design Intern will work with a dynamic team of creative professionals, assisting with all aspects of our unique practice. Our Landscape Design Interns are integrated into our team and will have the opportunity to assist on projects currently in various phases of the design process and interact with a wide range of disciplines within the firm. Required Skills & Required Experience

• Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S.degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Lumion, Rhino and associated design software.
• Strong interest in all phases of Civil Engineering including land development, utilities, water resources, and cons.
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Must be organized, self-motivated, and meticulous with details
