NJM Insurance Group is accepting applications for its 2027 Summer Internship Program in West Trenton, NJ. We seek an analytical intern to join the I.T. Data Administration team and work on data engineering, analysis, and visualization projects.

You will expand knowledge through hands-on tasks, participate in seminars, and collaborate with leaders across departments. This paid internship includes networking events, professional headshots, and opportunities to contribute meaningful work.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Knowledge of SQL or Python.
• Experience with DB technologies such as SQL Server, Postgres, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Databricks, Redshift, Snowflake.
• Familiar with analytics/visualization tools like Power-BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, DOMO.

Responsibilities

• Expand knowledge of data engineering and analysis by querying databases.
• Build data objects to extract, transform, or load information across the company ecosystem.
• Construct concise visualizations to provide insights to end users.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis on requests to determine proper course of action.
• Explore edge technologies and present advantages to the team.
• Coordinate technical discussions between internal and external resources to resolve requests.
• Prototype new technologies or use cases of existing SAS offerings.
