Job summary

Symphony in NYC invites driven undergraduates and graduate students to join our Summer Internship Program. You’ll work on real projects that impact our platform, clients, and internal workflows, not just shadow colleagues.

Whether you are drawn to software development, product management, market strategy, or business operations, you’ll receive direct mentorship from industry leaders and hands-on experience at the intersection of finance and enterprise technology.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or Master's degree program.
• Strong academic record in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-starter mindset.
• Proficiency with standard office tools (Google Workspace/MS Office); technical candidates should be proficient in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver an end-to-end summer project that solves a critical business or technical challenge.
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, or technical feasibility studies to support product features and strategic decisions.
• Work with cross-functional teams (Design, Engineering, Legal, and Business Operations) to refine platform features or streamline internal processes.
• Assist in writing clean, scalable code, developing APIs, or improving backend/frontend workflows for our secure collaboration platform.
• Gather, organize, and analyze key operational or user engagement metrics to present actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Present your summer project, outcomes, and recommendations to Symphony leadership at the end of the program.
