Job summary

Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago invites you to join our IT internship in Application Development. You will participate in full stack design and development using Angular, .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, REST and SQL on an Agile Scrum team.

You will gain hands-on experience in DevOps processes and technologies such as CI/CD and IaC, with Git track collaboration and emphasis on code quality through unit testing. Potential for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Applicants should be enrolled at an accredited four year institution and maintain good academic standing.
• GPA of at least 3.0 requested; majors in technical discipline preferred.
• Fields of study: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or related technical areas.

Who are we?

We are a federally chartered corporation and one of 11 Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks) that, with the Office of Finance, comprise the Federal Home Loan Bank System. The FHLBanks are chartered by Congress under the Federal Home Loan Bank Act of 1932 to improve the availability of funds to support home ownership. Each FHLBank is cooperatively owned by member financial institutions in its district and operated as a separate entity with its own management, employees, and board of directors. Our district consists of the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. We are regulated by the Federal Housing Finance Agency, an independent federal agency.

We are currently seeking a summer intern for our Application Development department.

Responsibilities

• Participate in full stack application design and development
• Develop software using technologies like Angular, .NET Core, C#, JavaScript, REST and SQL
• Work on an Agile Scrum team
• Exposure to DevOps processes and technology such as CI/CD and IaC
• Collaborate using GIT track source code changes
• Troubleshoot and resolve
• Maintain code quality through unit testing

REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants should be enrolled at an accredited four year institution
• Should have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing

Salary Range: $38,800.00 - $58,100.00
