Job summary

Allegion Summer Intern – Software Operations Engineer in Carmel, IN seeks a student to build integrations, automate workflows, and enhance incident triage across software systems. You will develop API integrations, analyze logs, support authentication and billing workflows, and build reports and dashboards that turn data into insights.

Qualifications

• Pursuing CS/SE/IS/Data Analytics degree.
• Experience with at least one programming language (Python/JS/Bash).
• Familiarity with APIs, logs, SQL, or data visualization.

• Experience with monitoring, dashboards, source control, identity management, or billing systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build lightweight automations that reduce manual investigation and accelerate issue resolution.

Summer Intern – Software Operations Engineer - Carmel, IN

The Software Operations Engineer Intern is responsible for improving the visibility, integration, and support of software systems. As a Software Operations Engineer Intern, you will build automations and reports, analyze logs, enhance incident triage, and support authentication, billing, and account workflows.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do

What You Need To Succeed

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
• Familiarity with APIs, logs, SQL, or data visualization through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
• Demonstrated interest in troubleshooting, automation, and understanding how software systems operate.
• Experience with monitoring, dashboarding, source control, identity management, or billing systems is preferred.
